As a youth, Chris played for the famed Wimbledon FC Academy and went on to play for Kingston College’s Under 21’s.
While playing, Chris took full advantage of the available recourses by enrolling in the full-time coaching classes. Chris studied under some of the best coaches in the UK. While studying at Kingston, he earned his FA Level One, Two and NVQ level 2 coaching awards. Chris also gained his FA referee qualification and first aid certificate.

“Chris is a talented, young ,forward-thinking coach who I know to be one of a rare breed of eternal students of the game. I have absolute faith that Chris will not only do a great job in leading the club forward and developing long term success, but he'll remain true to himself and others along the way. It's not often you meet a coach with such a great insight and character and at the same time, the appreciation to take a moment and (re)see the same things with a different set of lenses. I would wish Chris the best of luck at his new club, but he won't need it as I know just how hard he works to achieve the things he does.”
Jed Davies: Oxford University Coach, Oxford Football Development Officer, Professional Analyst and Coaching Author. Davies has worked with numerous top European sides such as Liverpool, Barcelona and Ajax.
“Chris is a highly-talented and skilled coach who is dedicated to constantly learning more about development within the game. He has great experience both in the UK and in the US and uses these different experiences to pass on his insight to coaches and players alike. With Chris' dedication, work ethic, and personable character, I know that he will thrive in his new role.”
Lewis Thompson: South Florida Soccer Academy Manager, Former Palm Beach Atlantic Captain, National Christian Colleges Athletic Association, National Champion and All-American.
"It is encouraging to see how the soccer landscape is changing in the Burlington and surrounding area. The introduction and success of the annual Monster Match soccer tournament and the recent hiring of a full-time Director of Coaching in Chris Madigan are sure signs that the organization is moving forward in a positive way".
