Jr. High Soccer Tournament

Valerie “Val” McIntyre loved the game of soccer and enjoyed coaching soccer teams in the Burlington area. Val coached teams for the YMCA, the Burlington Area Soccer Club and for the Burlington International Games (BIG).

In 2004, Southeast Iowa lost a devoted coach and avid soccer enthusiast.  This loss was a shock to family, friends and the soccer programs of which she gave so generously.   In honor of Val’s love and commitment to soccer, this annual tournament was established.  This tournament is a way for us to remember Val, and provide an opportunity for Val’s family to “keep giving” in support of soccer for the youth of southeast Iowa.

Thank you to the family of Valerie J. McIntyre for supporting soccer in Southeast Iowa.   Your commitment continues to allow youth interested in soccer to experience a soccer tournament environment.
